A survey by property consultancy Colliers reveals a growing divergence between hiring intentions and office expansion plans among Hong Kong tenants. The fourth annual Hong Kong occupier survey found that while more than a third of tenants anticipate increasing their workforce over the next 12 months, only about a fifth are planning to expand their physical office space. This suggests that companies are opting to accommodate growth by optimizing the efficiency of their current premises rather than seeking additional real estate.
