German police are investigating a suspected politically motivated arson attack that occurred at a construction site outside the Munich headquarters of defence technology firm Rohde & Schwarz. The incident, reported by Bavarian broadcaster BR24, involved incendiary devices being thrown from a car shortly after midnight, causing minor damage to construction containers. No injuries were reported.
Bavarian police confirmed they are investigating the attack. A 28-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, both Bulgarian nationals, were arrested near the scene. The authorities are on high alert for attacks on infrastructure, particularly following a recent incident where Germany attributed an attempted drone attack on a Ukrainian cargo plane to Russia.
