Dick's Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Golf Galaxy, have removed merchandise associated with the golf content creator Good Good Golf following public backlash over a video. The video, which depicted a man shoving a woman after she reached for a driver, was part of an advertisement.
The controversy also impacted a scheduled reality show premiere. Golf Channel postponed its debut of "Big Break x Good Good" on Tuesday after one of its sponsors, reportedly Golf Galaxy, withdrew. The video was initially pulled on Friday, but clips continued to circulate on social media.
Good Good Golf issued an apology on Saturday, stating its mission to make golf more inclusive. The PGA Tour event this fall is also titled by Good Good Golf.
