The deal, initially disclosed in April and valued at approximately $20 billion (€17.34 billion), will see the combined entity operate under the Cohere name with dual headquarters in Toronto and Berlin. Aleph Alpha's Heidelberg office will concentrate on research, and its co-chief Ilhan Scheer will assume the role of chief operating officer at Cohere.
