A tourist coach carrying dozens of Dutch nationals overturned late Thursday afternoon in the south-eastern Swiss Alps, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries. The incident occurred between Susch and Zernez in the Graubünden region, also known as Grisons. A large rescue operation, including helicopters, was dispatched to the scene. According to a spokeswoman for the General Dutch Association of Travel Companies, representing tour operator OAD, there were 48 Dutch passengers on board. The exact number of fatalities and injuries was not immediately available. Images from Swiss news sites depicted the coach on its side next to a rural road, with numerous ambulances present and rescuers working at the site. The coach had reportedly left the Netherlands on Monday and was on a day trip to Switzerland from Austria. Zernez serves as an entry point to the Swiss National Park, a large Alpine reserve.
