Russia launched a widespread overnight missile and drone attack across Ukraine on September 12, resulting in at least 11 deaths and 96 injuries nationwide. In Odesa Oblast, a multi-story residential building was struck by a drone, causing damage and injuring at least 35 people, including a five-month-old infant and a 17-year-old, according to local Governor Oleh Kiper. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched 129 attack drones and missiles, of which Ukrainian forces shot down 110 targets.
Other regions also sustained casualties. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, two people were killed and at least 22 injured, including a child, Governor Oleksandr Hanzha said. In Dnipro, one person died and 19 were injured due to drone, artillery, and aerial bomb damage to an enterprise, apartment buildings, garages, and vehicles. Kryvyi Rih reported one death and three injuries from an industrial enterprise strike. Donetsk Oblast saw four people killed and five injured, with two deaths in Sloviansk and one each in Kramatorsk and Yasnohirka. Zaporizhzhia Oblast reported two deaths and 11 injuries, with Governor Ivan Fedorov stating that Russian forces conducted 1,001 strikes against 45 settlements in the region.
Kyiv Oblast recorded one death and three injuries, including a child, from drone strikes across five districts. In Sumy Oblast, a 68-year-old man was killed in a drone strike, and a 64-year-old man was injured in a separate attack. Kharkiv Oblast reported one death and one injury. Kherson Oblast sustained 18 injuries, with damage to apartment buildings, shops, and infrastructure.
