China has introduced a comprehensive five-year plan for its electronic information manufacturing sector, with the goal of achieving an annual revenue exceeding 30 trillion yuan ($4.5 trillion) by 2030. This strategic blueprint, released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the National Development and Reform Commission, sets out key objectives for the years 2026 through 2030. The initiative reflects Beijing's heightened focus on ensuring supply-chain independence and establishing dominance in crucial emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and advanced computing, amidst intensifying global competition.
