49ers owner Jed York arrested in prostitution sting

San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York has been jailed in Ohio after being arrested for soliciting prostitution. The 46-year-old pleaded no contest to charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools, accepting a conviction without formally admitting guilt. He was sentenced to one day in jail, credited for time served, and fined $150 for disorderly conduct and $1,000 for possessing criminal tools, totaling $1,150.

Court records indicate York responded to an advertisement on a prostitution website placed by undercover officers from a Human Trafficking Task Force in Ohio. He allegedly arranged to have sexual activity with a woman in exchange for $140. The original prostitution charge was reduced as part of a plea deal, with the 'possessing criminal tools' charge thought to refer to the phone used to arrange the meeting.

York is also listed as a co-owner of Leeds United and Rangers through 49ers Enterprises, the investment arm of the NFL team. The NFL has stated that the matter will be reviewed under its Personal Conduct Policy.
