A new app developed by GovTech Singapore and Google DeepMind can help users spot potential scams on messaging platforms, including WhatsApp and Telegram. AntiScam Pango analyses message notifications to flag suspicious conversations. GovTech says it will explore integrating AntiScam Pango's capabilities with the existing ScamShield app as the product matures. The app, currently in its beta stage, is available only on Android phones. It was launched at the STACK Conference, which brings together the government, the tech industry and practitioners.
