Most people support a proposed Certificate of Entitlement (COE) fee-and-rebate, or "feebate", system that could see buyers of more expensive cars pay more, while mass-market car buyers get rebates. That's according to public feedback gathered by the Land Transport Authority. Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow said the government is also studying rebates for COE renewals as well as a transport grant for larger families. LTA is also looking at giving buyers greater transparency and making COE bidding more accessible. This includes requiring dealers to display car prices without COE, and lowering bidding fees for those who want to secure their own COEs, instead of going through dealers. Alexandra Anand reports.
