Trump says he is 'happy' Harry and Meghan left US

Trump, speaking to reporters, recalled his positive relationships with the late Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles, whom he has known for a long time. He believed Harry and Meghan treated the royal family with great disrespect and indicated he would not have welcomed them back if he were in the royal family's position.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently returned to the UK for an extended stay after living in California since 2020. They had previously relinquished their official royal duties. It is not expected they will be offered a 'half-in half-out' arrangement, a stance previously rejected by Queen Elizabeth II. Questions remain regarding security costs for the couple, and whether British taxpayers will cover them.
