Russian forces struck the "Stolichnyi" market in Sofiivska Borshchahivka, a settlement near Kyiv, on Sunday, killing two people and injuring approximately 10 others. The attack also caused a fire at the market grounds. Rescuers and relevant services were working at the site to address the consequences of the strike. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that Russia had deployed a total of 277 attack drones since Saturday, with 155 of them being jet-powered varieties. Separately, on September 27, Russian forces reportedly destroyed a warehouse storing Kärcher equipment and products, and also struck the residence building of the ambassador of Saudi Arabia.
