Rick Ross equips private jet with Starlink internet

Ross described Starlink as "unbelievable," noting that it allows for continuous connectivity, including phone calls, FaceTime, and streaming, from before takeoff throughout the flight. This integration aligns with SpaceX's expansion of Starlink, which has deployed thousands of satellites to provide high-speed internet globally, including to aircraft.

SpaceX reported having 12 million subscribers and highlighted the adoption of Starlink by several airlines such as American Airlines, Southwest, Virgin Atlantic, Iberia, and Aer Lingus. The company's president, Gwynne Shotwell, mentioned that some customers even opt for shorter flights over direct routes to ensure they are on a Starlink-activated flight, a behavior previously unseen in the industry.

For Ross, the internet-equipped jet is part of his extensive collection of luxury transportation, which also includes custom sports cars and classic vehicles, reflecting a childhood dream of acquiring desired possessions. Representatives for Rick Ross did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
