Irish hotel brand The Dean opens second German property in Munich

Designed by London-based Tatjana von Stein, the hotel's interiors draw inspiration from Bavaria's Art Nouveau heritage and Munich's 1980s nightlife, incorporating custom furniture, vintage pieces, and a bespoke sound system. Von Stein aimed to capture a tension between elegance and exuberance, reflecting the city's history and spirit.

Accommodation options range from standard rooms to suites, including 'The Dean Suite' and 'The Penthouse Suite'. The Japanese restaurant Ibasho, developed with consultant chef Alex Craciun, offers pressed sushi, sashimi, robata-grilled dishes, and an extensive saké and cocktail list. The hotel also includes a fitness and wellness concept called Power, featuring a pool, sauna, steam room, and gym.

Westend, also known as Schwanthalerhöhe, is described as a diverse and evolving neighbourhood with a mix of cultures, creative life, historic buildings, and a lively arts and gastronomy scene.
