Hong Kong's Hospital Authority has introduced artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic automation at its new support services center, located in Tung Chung on Lantau Island. This facility is designed to manage laundry processing and meal production for public hospitals, with the goal of increasing efficiency and enhancing worker safety. The six-storey, 62,000-square-metre center, which serves as the central laundry and food production unit, commenced operations in March of last year and recently opened its doors to the press for the first time on Tuesday.
