The Foundry Group, a real estate team based in Pinehurst, North Carolina, has officially joined Compass Raleigh. This move brings over $200 million in closed sales volume to Compass and enhances the brokerage's presence in Moore County and the broader Sandhills region.
The Foundry Group is co-led by Leigh Amigo and Kristen Moracco, who collectively possess 15 years of experience in residential real estate. In 2025, the team achieved a significant sales volume of $30.45 million across 81.5 transaction sides, ranking them among the top real estate teams in North Carolina. Prior to forming The Foundry Group, Amigo and Moracco were successful individual producers who competed against each other for six years.
Moracco, who has deep ties to Moore County, has facilitated over $100 million in property sales in the region. Amigo contributes eight years of real estate expertise, a background in sales from New York City, and personal experience with military relocations. The team emphasizes local knowledge, direct client communication, and personalized service.
"The Foundry Group grew out of years of knowing and respecting each other in the market. We spent six years competing as top producers before becoming partners, which gave us a deep understanding of how each other works," Amigo and Moracco stated jointly. "As mothers of three and military spouses, we understand the importance of communication, flexibility and trust, particularly during major life transitions. Those experiences shape the way we serve our clients every day."
The team, which includes members Allison Auman Smith, Cheryl Cherne, Claire Cobb, Emma Dill, Lex Fowler, Paige Rushing, Lizzie Buchanan, and Michelle McGann, will now operate under Compass Raleigh as part of Compass Carolinas. The Sandhills region continues to experience steady housing demand, fueled by military personnel, retirees, and second-home buyers.
