First Multiple Listing Service (FMLS) and Mid-America Regional Information Systems (MARIS) have launched a two-way data-sharing partnership, enabling their subscribers to search each other’s listings directly within their existing MLS platforms. This integration expands market reach across Georgia, Missouri, and Illinois.
The agreement allows professionals to access cross-market listing data without needing separate logins or systems. FMLS subscribers in Georgia can now view data from over 130 counties in Missouri and Illinois, while MARIS's approximately 15,000 subscribers can see FMLS listing information.
According to FMLS president and CEO Jeremy Crawford, the partnership aims to remove boundaries for real estate professionals, as clients do not consider MLS limitations when deciding where to live, work, or invest. MARIS president and CEO Cameron Paine stated that the connection provides subscribers with access to additional inventory within their familiar MLS environment and offers quality exposure for broker listings to professionals in connected markets.
MLS data-sharing agreements are becoming more common as agents increasingly handle clients who relocate or invest outside their home markets. These partnerships streamline workflows, reduce duplicate costs, and can decrease the need for brokers and teams operating regionally to maintain multiple front-end systems and logins.
