Shi Shunhua, a former vice president of China Merchants Bank Co., is under investigation for suspected severe disciplinary and legal violations, according to a joint official statement released on Friday. Sources familiar with the matter told Caixin that authorities took him away for questioning around mid-June, more than three years after his retirement.
