The new programs from eXp Realty aim to enhance agent efficiency and seller preparedness, potentially improving transaction success rates and agent value propositions in a competitive real estate market.
eXp Realty has introduced two new programs aimed at addressing common challenges faced by real estate agents and sellers. The brokerage unveiled ShowGo, a platform designed to formalize and streamline how agents find coverage for property showings, and eXp Ready, a program that provides sellers with funds for pre-listing home improvements.
ShowGo aims to transform the informal process of agents covering showings for one another into a structured system integrated into eXp's technology. According to Holly Mabery, eXp Realty’s chief brokerage officer, the platform allows agents to post a showing they need covered or to pick up available opportunities, effectively enabling them to be in multiple places at once. Mabery emphasized that ShowGo leverages the brokerage's large agent community and operates within regulatory guidelines, protecting agents, their licenses, and the brokerage. Leo Pareja, CEO of eXp Realty, noted that the platform's feasibility is due to technological advancements and the company's scale, adding that it ensures compliance with state rules.
While agents can set fees for showing coverage, open house coverage remains volunteer-based for lead generation. Nearly 1,000 eXp agents are already utilizing ShowGo, which is available on the eXp HUB platform in the U.S. and Canada.
The eXp Ready program is designed to help sellers fund necessary home improvements before listing their properties. Sellers can access up to $50,000, with repayment due only upon the sale of the property or within 12 months, whichever comes first. The program, powered by Notable, covers expenses such as staging, painting, and landscaping. Mabery stated that this program equips agents with resources to help sellers maximize their home's value and appeal in a competitive market.
Wendy Forsythe, chief operating officer of eXp Realty, highlighted that eXp Ready helps sellers prepare their homes for buyers who expect turnkey properties, thereby increasing marketability and maximizing sale value. Sellers can apply through an eXp-exclusive online portal, with applications not impacting credit scores and potential same-day approval. Pareja described eXp Ready as a crucial product for the current market, where properties may take longer to sell and differentiation is key.
