SEOUL, Oct. 6 (Yonhap) -- Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is scheduled to make a state visit to South Korea this week, with a summit planned with President Lee Jae Myung to address economic and international matters. El-Sisi's visit, at Lee's invitation, begins on Wednesday, and the two leaders are set to meet on Thursday. Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung stated that the summit will involve in-depth discussions on areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure, and supply chains, alongside efforts to expand people-to-people exchanges and address regional political situations and global issues. This marks El-Sisi's first trip to South Korea since 2016. The leaders last convened in November during Lee's visit to Egypt.
