Egyptian fertilizer producer NCIC has issued a tender to sell various fertilizers, with bids due by September 1. The company is offering 10,000 tonnes of diammonium phosphate (DAP), 10,000 tonnes of triple superphosphate (TSP), 10,000 tonnes of single superphosphate (SSP), 10,000 tonnes of merchant-grade phosphoric acid solution (52-54pc P2O5), and 1,000 tonnes of water-soluble sulphate of potash (SOP).

NCIC did not award the 10,000 tonnes of TSP and 30,000 tonnes of SSP it offered in a previous tender on August 11. In that same August tender, NCIC sold 21,000 tonnes of DAP at $915-920/tonne free on board (fob) and 500 tonnes of SOP at $750/tonne bagged ex-works.

The producer does not typically export phosphoric acid. Bids submitted in the current tender must be valid for two weeks. The phosphoric acid is scheduled for loading at the Ain Sokhna sea port. NCIC stated that buyers will be responsible for storage costs for any cargoes not loaded within 30 days of the invoice date.
