Bühler is enhancing its plansifter machines, critical equipment in flour milling, with new features focused on improved performance, hygiene, and food safety. The company has introduced advanced sieve cleaning systems, NovaBlue II and NovaWhite, designed to maintain clean sieve fabrics and prolong the service life of both the sieves and the cleaning components.
In addition to cleaning enhancements, Bühler has updated its plansifter designs with a focus on hygienic operation. These include features like detachable parts that are not in close proximity to the product, insulation on walls and doors to prevent condensation, and the use of stainless steel and polyurethane in key elements, eliminating the need for screw fasteners. These measures aim to meet high standards of food safety in grain processing.
Furthermore, Bühler has developed an optimized sieve frame design, the Nova HC, for its Azurit MPAU small plansifter. This innovation can lead to a capacity increase of up to approximately 40% in specific control sifter applications, boosting throughput without compromising process reliability or footprint.
Plansifters are essential in modern flour mills for accurately classifying particles by size, grading materials for optimal mill balance, and separating bran from endosperm to ensure flour purity. They can handle high capacities, sorting grist and floury products in various grain mills, and are designed for versatility across different grain types and free-flowing granular materials.
