The new offer includes 26% in guaranteed wage increases for all employees, with a 10% increase effective October 2. Annual wage pools are set at 4% in the first year and 6% in the subsequent three years, with employees guaranteed at least a 4% increase annually. Boeing stated the offer includes 34% in total wage funds over the contract's life. The average base salary for professional employees is projected to increase from $152,000 to $208,000, while technical workers' average base salary would rise from $119,000 to $163,000. The proposal also includes enhanced health care and retirement benefits, additional vacation days, a new floating holiday, and bereavement days. Electronic voting on the offer is scheduled to begin September 24 and conclude October 1, with results to be announced by SPEEA. The current contract expires October 6. The bargaining unit comprises 12,696 engineers and scientists and 3,959 technical support employees, primarily based in the Puget Sound region.
