Taiwanese technology giant Foxconn is spearheading a significant investment in Poland, aiming to establish a multibillion-dollar hub focused on artificial intelligence servers and electric vehicle components. The initiative, undertaken in strategic partnership with the state-backed ElectroMobility Poland S.A. (EMP), is designed to enhance the technological and operational capabilities of the European Union's automotive sector and strengthen economic ties between the EU and Taiwan.
Foxconn, the world's largest electronics manufacturer, plans to leverage its expertise in scalable manufacturing and its EV platforms to support EMP's goal of developing next-generation automotive manufacturing in Poland. Jun Seki, Foxconn's Chief Strategy Officer for EV, stated the company's commitment to accelerating electric mobility through open platforms and deep technological collaborations, including the development of an AI-enabled manufacturing facility. Cyprian Gronkiewicz, CEO of EMP, highlighted Foxconn's suitability as a partner due to its manufacturing scale and technological depth in digital solutions integral to modern vehicles.
The project is expected to foster local research and development, strengthen supplier networks, and effectively serve the European market.
