Apple has introduced its latest Mac Mini, powered by the new M6 processor, with the base model starting at $899. This new iteration boasts significant improvements in AI performance, reportedly four times faster than the previous M4 model, alongside doubled storage and graphics speeds. The M6 chip features a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU.

Alongside the M6 variant, Apple also announced a Mac Mini equipped with the M5 Pro chip, which starts at $1,699 and comes with 512GB of storage and 24GB of RAM. This model can be configured with up to an 18-core CPU and 20-core GPU.

Both new Mac Mini models are equipped with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and include a 2.5Gb Ethernet port, with an option to upgrade to 10Gb. The devices are available for pre-order and will begin shipping on September 22, running macOS 27 with Siri AI.

Apple also expanded its professional lineup with new Mac Studio models featuring the M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, starting at $2,499 and $5,499 respectively. The M5 Max base model includes 36GB of unified memory and 512GB of storage, while the M5 Ultra base model offers 96GB of unified memory and 1TB of storage.

The company previously discontinued the $599 base model Mac Mini earlier this year, having offered a 512GB M4 version for $799 as its entry-level option.
