Oil prices are falling as hopes for a diplomatic resolution in the Middle East ease supply fears and drain the risk premium from crude. Fiona Cincotta, StoneX Senior Market Analyst, explains why WTI and Brent crude are pulling back and what the WTI chart shows about the trend since July. Middle East peace talks are weighing on oil prices as Donald Trump signals a preference for diplomacy and Iranian officials signal openness to a peaceful agreement after talks with Qatari mediators. The oil risk premium reflects fears of supply disruption, and it is fading as those fears ease, although markets still want concrete signs of peace before crude falls much further. Attacks in the Strait of Hormuz ramped up through October, while Iran-backed Houthis targeted Saudi energy infrastructure, which is what built the supply scare in the first place. On the chart, WTI crude has traded in a rising channel since July, and the uptrend remains intact after prices reversed lower from the channel midpoint. 00:00 - Oil Risk Premium Falls Away 00:13 - Peace Talks Cool Hormuz Fears 00:52 - Markets Want Proof of Peace 01:14 - WTI Uptrend Still Intact 01:41 - WTI's Bull and Bear Triggers Discover Actionable Insights with the latest Market Outlook Reports: https://intel.stonex.com/offer?language=en&campaignId=A908C315-DC62-4F35-AC16-870BB71E84D1&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sxtv_guest_fiona_cincotta&utm_content=share Like and subscribe for more financial market insights. #CrudeOil #StoneX #FionaCincotta #WTI --------- Like this video?
