‘They’re secret’: Bondi Inquiry slammed over hidden counter-terrorism findings

The Australian Legal Affairs Contributor Chris Merritt warns the Bondi Royal Commission could again keep crucial findings about AFP counter-terrorism resources secret. “The Royal Commission, if you look at its interim reports, it reached some conclusions about the resourcing, the adequacy of the resourcing, of the counter terrorism work at the AFP,” Mr Merritt said. “They’re not in that interim reports; they’re secret; there’s a separate secret addition of this report in which the Royal Commission weighs up the resources and the workload and comes to a conclusion. “They have not been made public. “On its current practice, there’s a risk that the final report of this commission might again adopt this secrecy approach.”
