‘Reckless’ Labor Party fails to condemn China’s hostile rhetoric

Former NSW Labor treasurer Michael Costa says Labor failing to stand up to China is “reckless” as China is a “threat” to Australia. “They’re putting our national interest at risk here,” Mr Costa said. “We get involved in relations around the Pacific because it suits our national interest. “China doesn’t share our values; we are facing a threat and what is this government doing? It's cutting defence spending.”
