The labour market needs ‘more flexibility’ to counter soaring costs

Professor Richard Holden from UNSW Business School says flexibility in the labour market is needed to drive down costs in the construction sector. “Some of the key drivers are trying to create more flexibility in the labour market; now that’s the exact opposite of what this government's done over their time,” Mr Holden told News24 host Chris Kenny. “We need a more nimble labour market. “We need to increase productivity, especially in the construction sector.”
