Israeli strikes persist in Gaza following Trump’s disarmament announcement

At least 17 people have been killed in Gaza following the announcement of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan for the enclave, according to the Palestinian health ministry. Israel has continued its strikes on Gaza despite Mr Trump's statement that Hamas had agreed to disarm. The IDF reports it is targeting commanders and facilities used by the organisation. Israel’s Energy Minister Eli Cohen claims that no agreement to halt attacks on the enclave has been reached.
