‘Woke’ globalist mindset of European governments 'incredibly destructive’ to social cohesion

​Spiked Chief Political Writer Brendan O’Neill says the globalist mindset of European governments is "incredibly destructive” to social cohesion. ​“It is really hard to emphasise how serious this crisis is,” Mr O’Neill told News24 host Jaimee Rogers. ​“I think it is because they are in the globalist mindset. ​“They’re in that post-borders mindset, where they think the correct, woke thing to do is to give up your sovereignty, give up the old-fashioned idea of nationhood and patriotism, and just throw up your borders to the entire world. ​“They think that’s kind of the politically correct thing to do. ​“It's incredibly destructive, it’s causing social mayhem, and it’s really ticking off ordinary citizens in Europe who don’t want their borders to be diluted like this.”
