Climate change, AI discussed at inaugural Tsinghua-Philanthropy Asia Alliance Impact Summit

Amid rapid advances in AI and the effects of climate change, philanthropy could play a bigger role in helping societies adapt — by piloting new ideas and taking risks that governments and businesses may not. That was one of the ideas explored at the inaugural Tsinghua-PAA Impact Summit in Beijing. The three-day event is jointly organised by the university and Philanthropy Asia Alliance, an initiative of Singapore's Temasek Trust. Attendees included around 220 leaders across philanthropy, business, government and academia from China and beyond. Rebecca Metteo reports from Beijing.
