Walmart has joined a growing list of companies objecting to OKXICE TSV, a planned venue for trading tokenized versions of U.S. stocks. The objection, dated Wednesday, brings the total number of companies opposing the venue to 38. This pushback now extends beyond tech and finance into retail, health care, and travel sectors. Under the SEC's innovation exemption, companies have 30 days to object in writing after receiving notice from a venue. A timely objection prevents the venue from offering a tokenized version of that company's stock. OKXICE TSV, a joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange and OKX's U.S. holding company, aims to allow approved users to trade tokenized U.S. stocks 24/7.
