Crypto exchange Bitget is expanding its real-world asset (RWA) initiatives with the launch of a securities transfer service and the development of a liquidity ecosystem for tokenized securities. The platform aims to integrate traditional securities with digital asset infrastructure, allowing users to transfer eligible US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) into its rToken ecosystem. This process, conducted via Free of Payment (FOP), converts existing securities into rTokens that are then added to users' Bitget spot accounts. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen highlighted the importance of infrastructure that enables asset and liquidity movement across markets, with tokenized equities being a key starting point. The Super Match system is designed to enhance liquidity and price discovery for these tokenized assets, extending engagement beyond traditional stock market hours. As of July 6, Bitget's rToken assets under management stood at approximately $114 million, with over two million transactions recorded.
