Injective has signed a memorandum of understanding with South Korean digital asset custodian BDACS to establish KRW1 as the exclusive Korean won settlement asset for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) on the Injective network. This initiative aims to address significant stablecoin outflows from Korean exchanges and support the country's growing tokenization market, especially with an STO law anticipated in February 2027. KRW1 is issued by BDACS and fully backed 1:1 by Korean won reserves. The partnership seeks to reduce friction for institutional participation and retain capital domestically. Injective has already facilitated over $7.5 billion in RWA volume and hosts more than $1 billion in tokenized assets, with past integrations including POSCO International and LG CNS for trade receivables settlement in July 2026. BDACS has prior experience in institutional crypto infrastructure, including a partnership with Ripple for XRP custody services.
