Ripple Prime, through its multi-asset brokerage platform, is launching traditional finance (TradFi) perpetuals for its institutional clients via Trade.xyz's markets on Hyperliquid. This expansion builds on an earlier DeFi rollout and aims to meet the growing demand for 24/7 trading of real-world assets (RWAs).
The new offerings provide access to reference markets including stocks, ETFs, indices, gold, and silver, enabling clients to manage exposures outside of traditional exchange hours. Open interest on these RWA perpetual contracts has reportedly reached $9 billion over the past year.
Virtu Financial has been onboarded as one of the first clients to trade these RWA swaps. Ripple Prime also offers swap financing for leveraged ETFs and Delta One trading on US stocks, indices, and crypto. Clients can utilize the RLUSD stablecoin as collateral for these transactions, benefiting from cross-margining capabilities.
