Dogecoin Labs has been launched in conjunction with the Dogecoin Foundation to consolidate the meme coin's scattered products, intellectual property, and development teams into a single independent entity. The company, led by CEO Jordan Jefferson, aims to bridge the gap between Dogecoin's large community and its limited number of real-world applications by developing wallets, payment systems, trading platforms, DeFi, gaming, AI, and social apps. This initiative builds upon recent developments such as the September 30 testnet launch of DogeOS and the MyDoge wallet's growth to over 500,000 users. The Dogecoin Foundation will continue its role in stewardship, open-source support, and advocacy, while Dogecoin Labs focuses on commercial product development.
