President Donald Trump is set to embark on an extensive travel schedule in the final month before the midterm elections, aiming to energize Republican voters and bolster the party's candidates. He is expected to visit at least 10 states, including key battlegrounds and states he won decisively in 2024.
The planned itinerary encompasses traditional Senate battlegrounds such as Michigan, North Carolina, and Georgia, alongside states Trump secured with double-digit margins in 2024, including Texas, Iowa, Alaska, Ohio, and Kansas. Additionally, Montana and Pennsylvania are slated for visits due to competitive House races.
One significant trip will take Trump from Washington to Montana, then to Alaska, Las Vegas, Arizona, and finally Texas before returning. The Republican National Committee has also announced campaign stops in Oklahoma and Alabama, with rallies in battleground states scheduled to begin around October 3.
According to RNC spokesperson Natalie Baldassarre, Trump's campaigning is aimed at "energizing our base, and supercharging Republican candidates." The GOP's national committees began September with approximately $233.4 million in cash on hand, significantly more than the Democratic National Committee's $130.4 million.
