Police arrested Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan's jailed ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan, at her house in Lahore on Sunday, according to a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab spokesman. The arrest occurred ahead of a planned protest march by the party on September 27, which is demanding the immediate release of Imran Khan, who has been imprisoned since August 2023. Authorities have also increased preparations and surveillance in the capital. Earlier, police had taken four PTI activists and workers into custody.
