OKXICE LLC, a joint venture formed by cryptocurrency exchange operator OKX and Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange), has filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch a tokenized stock trading platform. The platform intends to offer trading in tokenized shares of more than 60 companies listed on US stock exchanges, operating under the SEC's recently introduced innovation exemption.
