Ukraine Strikes Russian Refineries, Worsening Fuel Shortages

Over 17 Russian regions have implemented sales restrictions, and Russian-occupied Crimea has suspended fuel sales to private individuals and businesses, with sales limited to state agencies. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has described these strikes as "long-range sanctions" aimed at weakening Russia's war-waging ability. Russian President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged a "difficult period" for the country amid these ongoing strikes. The attacks on oil infrastructure, including maritime logistics in Krasnodar and a depot in Kerch, have also led to fatalities and injuries, according to Ukrainian reports.
