Oasis has announced a 2027 tour, "Oasis Live 27," which includes a highly anticipated return to Knebworth, 30 years after their iconic 1996 performances. The band, fronted by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, will embark on a global tour starting in Glasgow on May 21, with dates also scheduled for Manchester, Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Boston, Las Vegas, Slane Castle, and Knebworth.
The announcement follows a massive drone display over Manchester's Etihad stadium and hints on Instagram. This tour comes after their successful 2025 reunion, which comprised 41 dates across multiple continents and was met with critical acclaim, including a five-star review from Guardian critic Alexis Petridis for their Cardiff show.
In response to past fan backlash over ticket pricing during the 2025 reunion, Ticketmaster has implemented changes. Following action by the competition watchdog, the ticketing platform must now provide 24 hours' advance notice if tiered pricing will be used, specify which tickets it covers, and detail how the system works. During live sales, the price range must be shared and updated as tickets sell out.
Fans interested in attending the 2027 tour must register for tickets between now and 4pm BST on September 17. A documentary about the band's 2025 reunion, "Don't Look Back in Anger," recently premiered at the Venice film festival and received positive reviews.
Speculation about the Knebworth return began when Baroness Taylor of Stevenage mentioned it in the House of Lords in October 2025, though she later clarified it was hypothetical. Further fueling rumors, SJM Concerts managing director Simon Moran secured an events license for Knebworth with a capacity of 125,000 people. The original 1996 concerts at Knebworth drew 250,000 fans, with an estimated 4% of the British population applying for tickets.
Oasis's 1996 Knebworth concerts were described as "the peak of British culture" in a 2021 documentary. The band's recent activities, including Liam Gallagher's 2022 headline performance and the 2025 reunion tour, have contributed to a resurgence of Britpop nostalgia.
