Nine Palestinians wounded in Israeli attack in southern Gaza

Nine Palestinians, including children, were injured on Saturday when Israeli forces targeted a group of civilians in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa. The injured were taken to the Palestine Red Crescent Society’s al-Mawasi field hospital for treatment.

Tasnim News Agency reported that the latest casualties come amid continued violations of a ceasefire established on October 11, 2025, with repeated Israeli airstrikes, artillery attacks, and gunfire reported across Gaza. Since the ceasefire took effect, 1,369 Palestinians have been martyred and 4,627 injured, with 831 martyrs recovered from under the rubble. The al-Mawasi area in Khan Younis, previously designated a "safe zone" by Israel, has been repeatedly subjected to drone and artillery attacks.

Overall figures from the Gaza Health Ministry indicate that since the conflict began in October 2023, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 73,783, with 174,738 Palestinians injured. Rescue teams face severe restrictions in reaching Palestinians trapped beneath the rubble.
