The mortgage industry is approaching a significant transition with the mandatory implementation of the Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) 3.6 standard on November 2, 2026. After this date, any new appraisal report submitted to the Uniform Collateral Data Portal (UCDP) must adhere to UAD 3.6; submissions using the older UAD 2.6 format will be rejected.
While warning messages have already begun appearing for UAD 2.6 submissions, lenders have had a window of opportunity since January to test and integrate UAD 3.6 into their production workflows. This period is intended for placing orders, testing the complete process, learning from real files, and increasing submission volume before the deadline.
