A man who was kidnapped and subjected to a terrifying ordeal of violence and humiliation managed to escape by jumping from a first-floor window into a tree. The victim then ran into the street and encountered a police car, an event described by police as potentially life-saving. The incident occurred on July 5, 2025, after the man was lured to an address in Market Rasen and subsequently held captive in Lincoln. CCTV footage captured the moment of his desperate escape. Five individuals involved in the kidnapping and false imprisonment have been sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court. Brad’Lee Ranyard and Jackson Nicholson received nine-year jail terms, Craig Ranyard was sentenced to five years and three months, Danielle Thompson received four years and nine months, and Nathan Gladwell was jailed for three years and seven months. Detective Constable Liam Henderson, who led the investigation, praised the victim's courage and highlighted the fortunate chance of the police car's presence.
