Key facts
- John Deere will update its T5/T6, S7, and X9 combine ranges for model year 2027.
- New Predictive Ground Speed Automation (PGSA) will optimize combine speed based on crop conditions.
John Deere will introduce updates to its T5/T6, S7, and X9 combine ranges for model year 2027. The enhancements focus on increased productivity, automation, and operator convenience, including Predictive Ground Speed Automation (PGSA) and remote adjustment capabilities.

These updates aim to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs for farmers by leveraging advanced automation and improved machinery performance, potentially impacting agricultural yields and the cost of food production.
John Deere is planning significant updates across its T5/T6, S7, and X9 combine ranges, designated for model year 2027 (MY27). These enhancements aim to boost productivity, automation, and in-cab convenience, ultimately reducing harvest costs under varied field conditions. A key new feature is Predictive Ground Speed Automation (PGSA), which uses pre-harvest satellite data and on-the-go camera measurements to automatically control ground speed, preventing issues like approaching dense crops too quickly. PGSA with throughput targeting will also link ground speed with grain quality to optimize harvesting performance and maintain acceptable grain loss limits. The T5 and T6 models will receive new remote adjustment capabilities for their threshing and separation systems, allowing operators to make immediate changes from the cab. Additionally, two new unloading augers will be available for the T5/T6 range: a 6.1m rigid auger and a 7.3m foldable auger. The S7 range will see improvements in slope performance with Active Slope Adjustment (ASA) and new sidehill configurations. The larger X9 combine will feature a new 15.2m HDX 50 header for increased feeding capacity and a new 10.7m unloading auger. Technological upgrades across the S7 and X9 models include an auto unload feature, which guides tractors and trailers during unloading, and expanded harvest settings automation for a wider variety of crops. Live fill monitoring will provide real-time feedback during unloading.
