Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto has offered Mykhailo Fedorov, who was recently dismissed as Ukraine's defense minister, an adviser role in Rome. Crosetto stated he contacted Fedorov the day after his dismissal to propose the advisory position.
According to Crosetto, Fedorov was "moved" by the offer and saw it as "a mark of respect and friendship." The Italian minister lauded Fedorov as a key figure in military innovation, crediting him with transforming battlefield practices through new technologies to aid Ukraine's resistance and initiative against Russia's invasion. Fedorov, known for his tech-savvy reforms and boosting Ukraine's drone capabilities, had reportedly declined other government positions after his dismissal.
