India has launched its first comprehensive digital repository of space-sector capabilities, named the Indian Space Industry E-Catalogue, during the ongoing India Space Congress (ISC).
The platform aims to consolidate information on over 200 verified space and defence companies, covering nearly 20 domains and more than 120 sub-domains. It is intended to serve as a single, trusted source for capability discovery, collaboration, and business development within India's burgeoning space ecosystem.
The E-Catalogue was developed by the Satcom Industry Association (SIA)-India, a non-profit organization representing the country's space industry.
In addition to the catalogue launch, SIA-India released two strategic reports at the ISC. The first, "Building India's On-Orbit Servicing and Refuelling Ecosystem: Policy, Partnerships and Pathways Forward," was developed in partnership with OrbitAID and explores advancements in on-orbit servicing, assembly, and manufacturing. The second report, "India's Strategic Opportunity in Space-Based Compute Infrastructure," prepared with TakeMe2Space, examines the potential of orbital data centers and in-space computing for digital infrastructure, AI, and sovereign computing.
The India Space Congress, which concludes on Wednesday, has convened policymakers, diplomats, and industry leaders from around the globe.
