Harbro acquires Cargill's feed plant in North Yorkshire

The Dalton facility has a history in the animal feed sector, originally developed by Provimi and later invested in by Cargill. Harbro has stated its intention to continue investing in both the site and its workforce, maintaining a focus on feed quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and nutritional standards.

Initially, Cargill's Dalton operation will continue to function as a separate entity while the two businesses work on integrating their systems and processes. This integration is projected to be finalized by early 2027.

Chris Baxter, CEO of Harbro, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming the Cargill Dalton team, highlighting the fit with Harbro's capabilities and standards, and anticipating expanded offerings and customer relationships. Helene Ziv-Douki, Senior Vice President at Cargill, noted that the transition is timely, allowing both organizations to concentrate on their core strengths and expressed anticipation for future partnerships.
