Gemini and Apex Fintech Solutions have entered into a letter of intent to expand access to regulated crypto prediction markets. This collaboration aims to integrate Apex's brokerage infrastructure with Gemini's federally regulated trading and clearing operations, allowing Apex brokerage customers to access crypto event contracts without building their own exchange infrastructure.
Under the proposed arrangement, Gemini Titan, which holds a Designated Contract Market license from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), will become the exclusive venue for crypto event contracts distributed through Apex's Futures Commission Merchant. Gemini Olympus, holding a Derivatives Clearing Organization license from the CFTC, will handle clearing and settlement. The companies may also collaborate on non-exclusive event contracts for sports, economic data, and financial markets.
Gemini launched its prediction market trading in December 2025, and by the second quarter of 2026, the platform had facilitated over 225 million event contracts and recorded more than 27,000 traders. This partnership builds on an existing relationship where Apex Clearing Corporation serves as custodian and clearing broker for Gemini's commission-free stock trading service launched in July.
